WHO YOU ARE
This Darwin-based General Labourer role provides hands-on support across DCOH's construction activities, assisting with site operations, material handling, housekeeping and labouring duties.
- Current Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- Previous construction, labouring or site-based experience is advantageous
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking approach to work
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and co-workers
- Good awareness of safe manual handling practices
- Physical fitness and ability to undertake manual labouring activities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced construction environment
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Assist with general labouring duties across active construction sites
- Support trades and supervisors with day-to-day construction activities
- Load, unload and move materials, tools and equipment as required
- Maintain clean, safe and organised work areas
- Assist with site set-up, housekeeping and general maintenance tasks
- Follow instructions to support efficient project delivery
- Attend site inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings
- Comply with all site safety requirements, procedures and policies
- Report hazards, incidents and unsafe conditions promptly
- Assist with receiving, handling and storing site materials and deliveries
- Work collaboratively with trades, supervisors and site personnel
- Raise site concerns or issues with supervisors when required
- Follow safe work practices and remain alert to potential site risks
- Contribute positively to team culture and site productivity
- Support the successful delivery of construction works through reliable day-to-day assistance
