Council is seeking an enthusiastic Urban Forest Services Support Officer to provide essential administrative support to the Urban Forest Services team and assist in the delivery of programs that help protect and enhance our urban forest.
Working within the Open Space and Sustainability Branch, you will play a key role in coordinating customer requests, managing work orders and records, maintaining business systems and supporting service improvements. Essential:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business Administration or a related discipline, and / or equivalentexperience, skills and knowledge
- Demonstrated experience providing high-quality administrative and business support within a technical or operational environment, including customer request management, preparation of correspondence and work orders, and documenting and managing process and workflows
- Proven ability to work effectively within a diverse team environment, contributing to shared goals, service outcomes and a positive workplace culture
- High level proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications and experience using corporate business systems, with the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning, professional development and the ongoing enhancement of professional knowledge, skills and work practices
- Well-developed customer service, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage complex or challenging enquiries, resolve issues and build positive stakeholder relationships
Desirable:
- Experience using Geographic Information Systems (GIS), asset management systems or related technology to support information management, reporting and operational decision-making
- Understanding of urban forest management issues
- Experience working in Local government or a similar public sector environment
