Whether you’re delivering frontline legal services or strengthening our organisation from behind the scenes, you’ll help create fairer outcomes for the people across NSW and have the opportunity to share your skills, stories, passions, all while representing your community and culture.
With over 130 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander staff, we are committed to creating a culturally safe workplace. We value the knowledge, skills and lived experience that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people bring to our organisation.
We promote dignity, trust, and respect. We are committed to diversity and inclusion and offer recruitment and workplace adjustments.
Working within a multidisciplinary team comprised of solicitors, a social worker, community engagement manager, and a financial counsellor, you’ll be part of a collaborative and highly respected team spanning Central Sydney, Lismore, Orange and Nowra.
In these roles, you’ll deliver outreach services to Aboriginal communities, building strong community connections while providing high-quality legal advice, minor assistance and casework across a broad range of civil law matters.
You’ll be supported by experienced senior solicitors, with access to ongoing supervision and professional development, making this a role where both early career and experienced solicitors can continue to grow and thrive.
You’ll also work closely with the Family Law Service for Aboriginal Communities (FamAC) and Aboriginal Field Officers to deliver holistic, culturally responsive services.
This is a unique opportunity to broaden your experience and make a genuine difference as part of a supportive, values driven team at Legal Aid NSW.
