About us:
Our Community Care Unit provides medium to long-term mental health rehabilitation in a supportive residential environment for adults aged 18-65 who are working towards independent living. Through person-centred recovery, our multidisciplinary team empowers residents to build confidence and essential life skills, improve their physical and mental wellbeing, reconnect with their community, and achieve goals such as returning to work or study. Our service also works closely with families, carers and partner organisations to ensure residents have the support they need for a successful transition back into the community.
About the role:
Deliver high-quality, evidence-based nursing care to adults with severe and enduring mental illness, supporting their individual recovery journey.
Provide clinical leadership and coordinate shifts to ensure safe, effective, and person-centred care within the Community Care Unit.
Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop and evaluate care plans, and deliver nursing care in line with professional and mental health standards.
Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement clinical pathways, care management strategies, and best-practice approaches.
Support a culture of continuous improvement by contributing to staff induction, education, professional development, and quality improvement initiatives.
About you:
Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA); a postgraduate qualification in Mental Health is highly regarded.
Sound clinical knowledge and skills with an understanding of recovery-oriented mental health care and evidence-based practice.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team, building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Well-developed organisational, time management and prioritisation skills to deliver high-quality adult mental health care.
Commitment to ongoing professional development, continuous learning, and contributing to the education and support of colleagues.
What we offer:
Total remuneration value of up to $132,289 p.a. is comprised of:
An hourly rate between $57.48 - $61.55 p.h.
