Position Overview
The Host is the first point of contact for CU29 guests, creating a welcoming and professional atmosphere from arrival to departure. This role is key in ensuring smooth guest flow, managing reservations, and upholding CU29’s high service standards. A successful Host will combine polished communication skills with attention to detail to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Reception & Seating
Warmly greet guests upon arrival, offering a professional and friendly first impression.
Manage the reservation system, including bookings, waitlists, and guest preferences.
Escort guests to their tables, presenting menus and introducing their server.
Monitor table rotation and ensure seating efficiency to optimize guest experience and service flow.
Customer Service Excellence
Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
Handle guest enquiries and feedback professionally, escalating to management as needed.
Maintain knowledge of the menu, specials, and promotions to assist guests effectively.
Operational Support
Coordinate with the restaurant, bar, and kitchen teams to manage service timing and table readiness.
Ensure front-of-house areas, including reception and waiting areas, are clean, organized, and welcoming at all times.
Assist with administrative duties such as updating reservations and guest records.
Compliance & Safety
Adhere to CU29’s service standards, hygiene policies, and safety procedures.
Ensure all interactions reflect CU29’s brand values and professional image.
Report any incidents or guest concerns to the Duty Manager or Restaurant Manager promptly.

Qualifications & Experience
A minimum of 2 years experience as a host, receptionist, or in a customer service role within the hospitality industry (preferred)
Familiarity with reservation systems and POS software (advantageous).
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
