The Opportunity
The Procurement and Contract Support Officer is an integral part of our Procurement Team, providing high-quality administrative support to the team while ensuring the efficient management of procurement systems, supplier onboarding, contracts administration, travel management processes, and stakeholder enquiries across the Institute.
This exciting role will see you interact with a wide range of stakeholders across the organisation to assist our researchers to achieve their mission to improve the health, development and lives of children and young people.
Key responsibilities:
- Complete day-to-day administration of the procurement function, including filing, record-keeping and triaging requests.
- Track contract expiry dates, contract management activities, and key milestones.
- Maintain the contract register and ensure key contract information is current.
- Assist in keeping procurement resources and information up to date, including the procurement intranet pages.
- Maintain the Institute's travel management system.
Based in our offices within Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands, this role may be offered on a part-time or full-time basis (0.6 FTE – 1 FTE), with flexible working hours considered.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic organisation, building relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders and be passionate about providing high level customer service.
You will also demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Excellent time management and organisational skills including a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, prioritise workload and coordinate multiple tasks.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and improvement-focused and able to work both autonomously as well as an effective team member.
- Ability to maintain and strengthen professional relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Procurement and/or contract related experience is desirable.
