- 1 x Fixed-Term Contract (4 months, LSL cover)
- Salary up to $112,226 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience

About the Role
If you’re a proactive professional with strong communication skills, a solid understanding of environmental health legislation, and a commitment to making a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
In this role you will be responsible for promoting and regulating public health standards across the City, monitoring compliance with key legislation including the Health (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1911, Public Health Act 2016, and Food Act 2008.
You’ll conduct inspections, respond to health-related service requests, provide expert advice, and contribute to the planning and approval of public events. This role also involves supporting continuous improvement initiatives, engaging with the community, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to deliver high-quality environmental health services.

Who We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive in this role if you have:
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders and the community, and to provide quality customer service through strong written, verbal, and negotiation abilities.
- Experience administrating and enforcing the suite of Acts, Regulations, Standards and Codes applicable to Environmental Health services in Western Australia.
- Qualification in Environmental Health (as deemed acceptable by the Chief Health Officer in accordance with section 18 of the Public Health Act 2016) to enable appointment as an Environmental Health Officer.
- Current 'C' class drivers’ licence.
