About The Role:
Our client is an individual in their mid 20’s who has acquired a brain injury affecting their memory, endurance, and movement. Despite these challenges, they are fully mobile and maintain partial independence. We are seeking outgoing carers who are also looking at a potential Live-in arrangement to enhance our client’s quality of life through various forms of companionship and social engagement.
Shifts will be a mixture of Sleepovers with hours attached before and after.
The role will include a variety of social and clinical responsibilities such as:
Companionship & Social Outings
Meal Preparation and Assistance
Domestic Assistance
Rehabilitation and Exercise Encouragement
Supervision, gentle redirection & prompting when needed
Your Skills and Qualifications:
Experience in Mental Health (not required, but highly desirable)
First Aid Certificate
NDIS Workers Screening Clearance
Working with Children’s Check
Cert 3 or 4 in Disability, Aged or Community
Australian Driver's License and Reliable Vehicle
