In this role, you will provide administrative support and assistance to patients, families, visitors and clinical staff, ensuring the smooth day-to-day operation of the ward. This is a varied and fast-paced position suited to someone who enjoys working in a frontline healthcare environment and delivering exceptional patient service.
The successful applicant will demonstrate flexibility, professionalism and strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include:

Preparation and organisation of patient histories, admission paperwork and health information for upcoming procedures

Supporting smooth patient flow through DOSA by maintaining awareness of patient arrivals, whereabouts and progression through admission areas

Assisting nursing staff through effective communication, coordination and general administrative support

Directing patients, visitors and medical staff appropriately within the department
-
Monitoring waiting room activity and escalating prolonged waits or flow concerns when required

Maintaining ward paperwork, stationery supplies and a tidy, professional ward presentation

Contributing to a welcoming, organised and patient-focused environment through teamwork and initiative
