The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for purchasing, hiring and selling company vehicles,
Proactively manage the fleet to ensure that vehicle safety is assured and all rentals result in positive experiences,
Responsible for coordination of leasing the vehicles to rental agencies,
The Fleet Manager will be responsible and in-charge of all issues pertaining to employees, contracts, vehicles, accounts etc.,
The Manager should take control of activities like coordination, Liaoning, hiring, buying and selling of vehicles.
Manage all accidents, claims, tolls and fines promptly to minimize cost and maximize customer satisfaction,
Manage parking, service and third party relationships,
Manage customers/clients and maintain sound customer relations,
Manage dispatching, routing, and tracking of vehicles
Liaising with insurers and repairers. Arrange Insurance and observe the state’s requirement for company’s fleet
Responsible for maintenance and repairs of the fleet. Coordinate equipment to provide service (eg: vehicle mechanical inspections, mechanical repair, admin services, technical expertise, etc) upon request.
Manage all financial transactions of the business including: purchasing, selling, hiring etc., Prepare annual budget by forecasting fleet operation income and expenses, recording the resulting information in database for review and future planning.
Analyse expenditure and other financial information to develop plans, policies or budgets for increasing profits or improving services.
Review customer services. Investigate and resolve customer’s problems. Investigate into customer complaints and feedback procedures, to ensure that customers receive efficient and excellent services.
Advertising and promoting the business.
It will be necessary to communicate politely with other businesses and customers by email, letter, face to face, telephone and other equipment/s.
It will be the responsibility of the Manager to provide required training to the staff or employees to deliver excellent services. Supervise fleet personnel, incl. interviewing prospective employees and sub- contractors; providing and/or recommending training; coordinating, scheduling and assigning work.
Be updated and upgraded with the developments and changes in Transportation field. Reading pertinent journals, attending meetings and courses to be aware of the latest things.
Ensuring adherence to Occupational Health and Safety Regulations. Keep employees informed about their fleet programs and progress and ensure compliance with OH&S Regulation
Skills Required:
Appropriate candidate must have the following skills, education and experience:
Education: Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma + 1 year of experience
OR
Experience: At least 3 year of highly relevant experience if no formal qualification
Skills:
1. Specialised in buying and selling of vehicles
2. Specialised in coordinating the leasing of vehicles.
Pay: $77,000.00 – $100,000.00 per year
