Category 5 Labour Management is seeking experienced Water Treatment Service Technicians to support our client across workshop and field-based operations throughout WA. This is a hands-on role offering variety, technical challenges and the opportunity to work with advanced water treatment systems across industrial and environmental projects.
Initially based in the Forrestfield workshop, the role will transition into site-based work including metro Perth and Pilbara operations supporting major resource sector clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out in-house and onsite maintenance and repairs on water treatment plants and equipment
- Commission water treatment systems both onsite and within the workshop
- Diagnose faults and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical and process issues
- Monitor system performance and identify opportunities for improvement
- Complete accurate service reports and maintenance records
- Liaise directly with clients and provide technical support
- Assist with the manufacture and assembly of water treatment equipment and systems
- Maintain high safety and quality standards at all times
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Australian recognised Electrical or Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Previous experience servicing and maintaining water treatment systems
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with PLC-operated equipment
- Hands-on approach with strong mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
- Professional communication and client-facing skills
- Flexible and adaptable attitude
- Willingness to travel as required
Desirable:
- Experience servicing desalination plants
- Commissioning experience
- Water treatment industry qualifications or certifications
- White Card and First Aid
