About the role
Lead the future of regional pharmacy services and make a lasting impact on healthcare across South Australia. As the Associate Director – Regional Services, you'll provide strategic leadership across the Regional Local Health Networks (rLHNs), overseeing outsourced aged care and acute pharmacy services while acting as a trusted strategic advisor on medicines governance, medication safety and service delivery. Working closely with the Director Pharmacy Services – Regional Services, you'll drive innovative, patient-centred services that optimise health outcomes through the quality use of medicines.
This influential leadership role offers the opportunity to shape pharmacy practice on a state-wide scale. You'll lead major strategic projects, strengthen teaching and research initiatives, and ensure pharmacy services align with hospital, state and national legislation, policies and professional standards. Collaborating with a broad range of stakeholders, you'll champion sustainable service delivery, contractual oversight, continuous improvement and high-performing teams to deliver exceptional pharmacy care to regional communities.
Key responsibilities:
Lead regional pharmacy services across multiple LHNs with a focus on aged care
Drive state-wide pharmacy projects and innovation
Provide strategic leadership in teaching and research
Oversee outsourced aged care and acute pharmacy services
Ensure compliance with legislation and professional standards
Build strong partnerships across health services
Lead service improvement and workforce development
Promote quality use of medicines across regional SA
About You
You're a respected pharmacy leader with the vision, experience and passion to drive innovation and improve healthcare outcomes across regional South Australia.
Pharmacy degree, postgraduate qualification and registration
Proven executive leadership and major project experience
Strong background in pharmacy practice, research and education
Exceptional stakeholder engagement and change leadership skills
