FinXL is seeking an experienced Intermediate Software Developer to join our Business Transformation consulting practice. In this engagement (offered as a Contract engagement), you will become a key member of our team and be deployed with a Government department on a high-profile modernisation project. This position can be based from either of the following cities: Brisbane (Hybrid - 2-3 days on-site).
Responsibility
Migrate and rewrite legacy scientific modelling software into a modern, maintainable programming language.
Understand and translate complex scientific modelling algorithms.
Apply a solid foundation in modern software development methodologies to all project deliverables.
Conduct and implement comprehensive automated testing.
Collaborate actively within a vibrant, dynamic, and growing team environment.
Key Skills & Experience
3 to 6 years of commercial software development experience.
Proficiency in modern programming languages such as C++ or C#.
Readiness to adapt once the final technology stack is locked in.
Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
Grasp of university-level basic mathematics and statistics.
Hands-on experience in automated testing.
High energy, enthusiasm, and a highly collaborative attitude.
