About Us:
Welcome to The Perth Mint, where golden career opportunities await.
The Perth Mint is an iconic Western Australian organisation operating on a truly global scale. Situated in East Perth for over 125 years, The Perth Mint is a premier tourist destination, an award-winning exporter, and a key supplier of precious metals to markets throughout the world. Our purpose is ‘to bring the wonder of precious metals to the world’.
There’s no organisation quite like it, with a variety of roles available, from engineers and chemists to artists and technicians.
The Opportunity:
We're looking for an organised and proactive Assistant Engineering professional to support our Refinery Engineering team.
Based at our Refinery site near Perth Airport, this is a 6-month maximum term opportunity with an ASAP start. The role is part-time, working 22.5 hours per week, with flexibility in how those hours are structured.
You'll play an important role in keeping projects moving, supporting engineers with documentation, coordinating administrative processes, managing purchase requisitions and invoices, and helping maintain the systems and procedures that keep our refinery operating effectively.
This is an opportunity to work closely with technical specialists, contractors and stakeholders across the business while gaining exposure to a unique manufacturing and engineering environment.
About You:
You're a highly organised administrator who enjoys bringing structure, accuracy and attention to detail to everything you do. You take pride in keeping things running smoothly, can manage multiple priorities, and build positive working relationships with a wide range of people.
You'll bring previous experience in an administrative role, along with strong communication and document management skills. Experience supporting technical teams or technical writing would be highly regarded, but isn't essential.
Most importantly, you're someone who takes ownership of your work, values confidentiality, and is committed to working safely and responsibly in a team environment.
