\We are seeking a reliable and motivated Machine Operator to join our pre-pack team and help deliver quality products to our customers.
About the Role
Reporting to the Pre-Pack Supervisor, the Machine Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating assigned packing machinery while supporting product quality, production output and operational performance.
The successful candidate will ensure machinery is operated correctly, production targets are met, and finished products are packed to customer specifications. This role will also provide support across general warehouse and pre-pack activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate and monitor assigned packing machinery.
- Complete product and packaging changeovers efficiently and accurately.
- Ensure machinery is operating safely and performing to required standards.
- Monitor labels, seals, coding, pack weights and finished product presentation.
- Ensure packed products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Minimise product waste and downtime through proactive monitoring.
- Record production outputs and operating information accurately.
- Document downtime, machine stoppages and production variances.
- Complete traceability and production records as required.
- Assist with warehouse and pre-pack activities.
- Support product handling, palletising and stock movement activities.
- Assist with general operational duties as required.
About You
Essential
- Previous experience operating machinery in a manufacturing, food processing, packaging or warehouse environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to work safely and follow established procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Desirable
- Experience in fresh produce, food manufacturing or packaging operations.
- Forklift Licence (LF).
- Knowledge of food safety and quality systems.
- Experience completing production and traceability documentation.
- Mechanical aptitude and experience performing basic equipment adjustments.

Pay: $60,000.00 – $67,000.00 per year
