Retail Sales Assistant – Crystals & Jewellery
Shiny Storm is looking for a friendly, confident and enthusiastic Retail Sales Assistant to join our team at Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore.
This is initially a casual or part-time position, with a genuine possibility of progressing into a full-time role very soon for the right person.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has excellent customer service skills and genuinely enjoys connecting with people
- Is confident, outgoing and comfortable approaching and starting conversations with customers
- Has fluent spoken English and communicates clearly and warmly
- Has a natural ability to engage with customers and understand what they’re looking for
- Is proactive, reliable and able to work confidently and independently
- Takes initiative and remains productive during quieter periods
- Is comfortable working in a busy shopping centre environment
- Has an interest in crystals, jewellery, spirituality or wellness — previous knowledge is wonderful, but a genuine willingness to learn is equally important
- Takes pride in maintaining a beautiful, clean and well-presented store
- Is comfortable handling sales, payments, restocking and general retail responsibilities
- Is available to work weekdays and weekends, including late-night shopping hours and public holidays when required
- Has current and unrestricted rights to work in Australia
Previous retail or customer service experience is highly valued, but personality, communication skills, reliability and the right attitude are extremely important to us.
You’ll be joining a welcoming and supportive small-business team, with training provided across our crystal and jewellery collections. For the right person, there will be opportunities to take on more hours, greater responsibility and potentially progress into a full-time position very soon.
