About the role
Metal 21 is looking for a full-time Profile Machine Operator to join our team in Salisbury, Brisbane. In this role, you will be responsible for operating profile machines to shape, cut, and finish metal components. Your expertise in operating these specialised machines will be integral to the success of our projects.
What you'll be doing
- Safely operating profile machines to shape and cut metal components to precise specifications
- Monitoring machine performance and making adjustments to ensure consistent, high-quality output
- Interpreting technical drawings to determine the required profiles and dimensions
- Performing routine maintenance on profile machines to keep them in optimal working condition
- Collaborating with the production team to ensure timely delivery of metal components
- Maintaining detailed records of production activities and quality control checks
What we're looking for
- Proven experience as a Profile Machine Operator, with a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow safety protocols
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in metal fabrication or machinery operation
