We are currently seeking a compassionate, reliable and confident female Support Worker to provide in-home support to an NDIS participant located in Western Sydney, between the Mount Druitt and Penrith areas.
About the Role
This role involves a combination of personal care, daily living assistance and domestic support within the client's home.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Personal care, including showering, dressing and toileting
- Supporting the client with daily routines
- Meal preparation
- Laundry and bed making
- General household cleaning
- Mopping and bathroom cleaning
- Kitchen cleaning
- Following the client's individual care plan
- Completing accurate progress notes and documentation
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Female, due to the client's personal care needs and preferences
- Confident and comfortable providing personal care, including showering and toileting
- Experienced or comfortable supporting NDIS participants in their home
- Compassionate, patient and respectful
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to provide consistent support
- Comfortable working independently
- Able to reliably travel within the Mount Druitt / Penrith area
- Available for weekday morning shifts
The client is a member of the Filipino community and has a preference for a Filipino female Support Worker who understands her language and cultural background. Tagalog/Filipino-speaking applicants and those familiar with Filipino culture will be highly regarded.
Requirements
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing or equivalent) preferred
- Previous experience in disability, aged care, home care or community support preferred
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Australian working rights
