Service NSW is seeking an experienced Manager, Data & AI Governance to lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide governance frameworks that enable the ethical, secure and responsible use of data and AI. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in supporting digital transformation, data-driven decision making and the responsible adoption of emerging technologies across one of NSW's most recognised public sector organisations.
About the Role
As the Manager, Data & AI Governance, you will provide strategic leadership and expert advice to strengthen data and AI governance practices across Service NSW. You'll collaborate with stakeholders across privacy, security, legal, risk and technology functions to ensure our governance frameworks support innovation while maintaining compliance, managing risk and building public trust.
This role will drive organisational capability uplift, enhance governance maturity and support the delivery of data sharing and open data initiatives that maximise value from data while safeguarding community expectations.
Proven experience leading and developing a high-performing Data governance team with the design, implementation and continuous improvement of data and AI governance frameworks, policies, standards and controls.
Provide expert guidance on data management, AI risk management, privacy, security and regulatory obligations.

Strong understanding of data governance principles, AI governance, privacy, risk and compliance requirements.
