Ample Life is a provider of Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Respite Accommodation (MTA/STA) for NDIS participants across Sydney. We specialise in culturally and linguistically aligned care services to participants from diverse backgrounds such as Chinese, Indian, Vietnamese, Spanish, Indonesian, Korean, Italian, and many others.

About the Role
As the SIL Team Leader, you will oversee the day-to-day administrative and operational management of a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home while providing leadership to Disability Support Workers and ensuring high-quality participant outcomes. Working closely with the SIL Manager, you will coordinate office operations, workforce planning, participant services, compliance, and administrative systems to ensure the efficient delivery of NDIS supports. While the role includes providing participant support where required, the primary focus is leading operational functions, maintaining service standards, and ensuring the home operates efficiently and in accordance with organisational and legislative requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Home Operations Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of a Supported Independent Living (SIL) home, ensuring high-quality, person-centred service delivery.
- Roster & Resource Coordination: Coordinate staff rosters, allocate resources, and maintain adequate staffing to meet participant needs.
- Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead, supervise and support Support Workers, providing coaching, guidance and performance feedback.
- Compliance & Record Management: Maintain accurate participant, employee and operational records, ensuring compliance with organisational policies and the NDIS Practice Standards.
- Participant & Stakeholder Coordination: Coordinate participant appointments, activities and communication with families, Support Coordinators, allied health professionals and other stakeholders.
- Household Operations: Manage household operations, including supplies, equipment and administrative processes to ensure the home runs efficiently.
- People Management: Support recruitment, onboarding, training and performance management in partnership with the SIL Manager and People & Culture team.
- Participant Support: Provide direct participant support when required, including personal care, implementing support plans and promoting community participation.
What We’re Looking For
To excel in this role, you will need:
- Intellectual Aptitude: Strong ability to manage complex tasks, including detailed documentation, planning, and prioritisation.
- NDIS & Disability Sector Experience: Solid understanding of Supported Independent Living (SIL) services, NDIS frameworks, and Quality and Safeguarding standards.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and develop a team while driving high-quality service outcomes.
- Organisational Excellence: Exceptional administrative and organisational skills
- Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to assess situations, identify risks, make sound decisions and implement practical solutions.
- High-Intensity Care Expertise: Proficient in implementing behavioural support plans, restrictive practices, manual handling procedures, and managing medication protocols to support participants' needs effectively.
- Empathy & Professional Integrity: Commitment to upholding participant rights, promoting choice and control, and delivering respectful, person-centred services.
- Relevant Qualifications & Sector Experience: A relevant Certificate IV, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in disability, human services, or a related discipline, combined with demonstrated experience managing services and supporting people with disability.

Pay: $78,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
