Full Time Estimator – Water, Sewer, Stormwater and subdivision.

As we continue to grow our project portfolio, we are looking for highly motivated and experienced Estimator to join our estimating team.
Position Overview:
As an Estimator, you'll play a key role in our project success, focusing on Water, Sewer, and Stormwater pipelines etc. Collaborating closely with the Estimating team to produce accurate cost estimates, craft high-quality bids, and cultivate strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
You will be encouraged to contribute your unique perspectives, and actively participate in brainstorming sessions where your creativity is not just valued but celebrated.
Specific responsibilities:
- Leverage your industry experience to generate competitive estimates.
- Conduct Cost Estimating from First Principles and submit detailed bids.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to refine cost estimates and ensure project feasibility.
- Undertake data analytics on existing projects to refine estimating database.
- Participate in the planning and design phases of tender submissions.
- Contribute to enhancing estimating policies and systems.
- Manage the estimating database, staying updated on market rates for materials and subcontractors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their concerns and ensuring satisfaction.
- Participate in budgets and financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
- Work closely with the commercial Manager and finance team to ensure accurate Project budget and financial/management reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, incorporating lessons learned from previous projects.
- Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging trends to enhance estimating processes.

Skills and experience - Essential:
- Valid Australian working rights
- 3+ years of experience in Civil Construction estimating, preferably within Water, Sewer, and Stormwater projects.
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or related discipline
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong time management and organisational ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Blue Beam, Pronamics, Excel etc
- Database and document management
Skills and experince - Desirable:
- Understanding of WSAA codes related to Sydney Water supplements
- Knowledge of Civil construction contracts
- Strong Business & Financial Acumen
- Experience with Pronamics software
