Assembly Label is looking for a Production Coordinator to join our Production team at our Alexandria Head Office.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career production professional to gain hands-on experience in production coordination, supplier management, logistics, and production operations within a growing brand, supporting the timely delivery of products from factory to warehouse.
The Role
Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Coordinator supports the day-to-day production process by monitoring critical paths and key milestones. approving bulk fabrics & trims, approving shipment samples across all categories, raising purchase orders, liaising with off shore suppliers, factories, freight partners, and the warehouse, ensuring products are delivered on time and meet Assembly Label's quality standards. This is a collaborative and face paced role suited to someone who is highly organised, proactive and enjoys problem solving.
Key Responsibilities
Production
- Assist in raising seasonal purchase orders
- Revise purchase orders where required
- Check barcode labels
- Raising re-orders and adding them to tracking documents
- Follow up with factories on samples and delivery dates
- Bulk fabric approval in line with colour and quality standards.
- Photo sample management and tracking with suppliers to ensure samples are handed over on time.
- Checking shipping samples and sending comments to the factory.
- QC of goods at the warehouse when required.
Shipment Bookings & Logistics
- Issue shipping instructions to factories and confirm the bookings in line with the delivery windows.
- Track shipments and provide delivery updates to the wider team.
- Send airfreight quotes for approval and coordinate the airfreight of stock.
- Responsible for holding regular meetings with the warehouse on any supplier packing issues and implementing improvements and tracking with the suppliers.
- Send faulty reports to factories and report to business.
Reporting & Admin
- Sending weekly report on photo sample status, highlighting any red flags and problem-solving delays.
- Updating the Production Schedule with sample comments and approvals.
- Support the team across production and admin tasks when needed.
About You
- 2 years experience in production, supply chain or logistics role within fashion. Confident using excel and Microsoft 365 suite.
- Strong understanding of garment construction & fabric knowledge are essential
- Experience working with overseas factories/suppliers
- QC and QA experience
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent time management and ability to prioritise.
