About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is an exceptional environment to advance your career while enhancing your skills and expertise. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we deliver a comprehensive range of public health services across the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Regions.
Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
Nepean Hospital is seeking passionate, compassionate, and motivated healthcare professionals to join our Maternity Antenatal Postnatal Services (MAPS) team. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary maternity service that provides high-quality, family-centred care to women and their babies from pregnancy through to the postnatal period.
As a valued member of the MAPS team, you will contribute to delivering safe, evidence-based, and culturally responsive maternity care while supporting positive health outcomes for mothers, newborns, and their families.
The Midwife "including New Graduate Midwife" working in the MAPS model coordinates and delivers high quality Midwifery care across the hospital and the home Antenatal and Postnatally.
The MAPS team provides coordinated antenatal and postnatal care for women with a range of clinical and social needs, working in partnership with obstetricians, midwives, general practitioners, Aboriginal health services, allied health professionals, and community providers. In this role, you will provide comprehensive antenatal and postnatal care within a multidisciplinary team, support women and families through pregnancy, birth preparation, and the transition to parenthood, coordinate care for women with complex medical, obstetric, or psychosocial needs, promote maternal and newborn wellbeing through education, health promotion, and early intervention, develop individualised care plans that support safe, respectful, and culturally appropriate care and collaborate with hospital and community services to ensure continuity of care from pregnancy through the postnatal period.
If you are passionate about delivering outstanding maternity care and supporting families during one of life's most important journeys, we encourage you to apply.
Join the MAPS team at Nepean Hospital and help shape healthier beginnings for our community.
