A rare opportunity has opened up at our Coldstream site for a hands-on, practical and reliable Property Assistant to join the Animal Aid team.
This full-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day and takes pride in keeping spaces safe, functional and looking their best. It is a great entry-level opportunity for someone looking to build a career in property maintenance, with excellent learning and development opportunities along the way.
From maintaining gardens and grounds to carrying out general repairs and coordinating maintenance works, this role plays an important part in keeping Animal Aid running smoothly for both people and animals.
The role includes:
- General property maintenance and repairs
- Gardening and grounds upkeep
- Lawn mowing, pruning, weeding and landscaping
- Scheduled maintenance tasks
- Managing tools and equipment
- Coordinating trades when required
- Supporting volunteer work teams
- Maintaining clean, safe and well-presented environments
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in maintenance, gardening or landscaping
- Is proactive, reliable and self-motivated
- Can work independently and manage their time well
- Has good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Is physically fit and comfortable with manual work
- Holds a current driver’s licence
