About the role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Team Leader – Social and Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) to provide operational leadership, cultural guidance, and clinical support within our growing multidisciplinary team. This is a newly created full time position, and will be based across three clinics - Coomera, Miami, and Bilinga.
What you'll be doing
- Team leadership and operational management
- Coordinate daily workloads, case allocations, and team priorities.
- Monitor productivity, service standards, and performance outcomes.
- Lead, coach, mentor, and support team members to achieve operational targets.
- Conduct regular supervision, one-on-one meetings, and performance discussions.
- Cultural leadership
- Provide cultural supervision and leadership to a multidisciplinary workforce.
- Support the delivery of culturally safe, responsive, and person-centred services.
- Provide cultural advice and guidance to staff to support informed decision-making.
- Promote best-practice approaches to incident management, client feedback, and service improvement.
- Advocate for culturally specific services and support pathways.
- Clinical governance
- Work collaboratively with the Program Manager to support the development and delivery of mental health and AoD programs.
- Contribute to the development, review, and implementation of clinical policies, procedures, and standards.
- Ensure clinical documentation and reporting requirements are completed to a high standard.
- Coordinate client flow through intake, assessment, referral, and care planning processes.
About You
You’re someone who:
- Brings experience in understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, communities, and health priorities
- Can demonstrate leadership experience within health, mental health, social and emotional wellbeing, alcohol and other drugs, community services, or related fields
- Is passionate about making a positive impact and supporting others with heart and purpose.
Essential selection criteria
- Bachelor of Health Services/Social Work/Social Sciences or related field
- Minimum of 3 years in a SEWB related field
- Sophisticated working knowledge of mental health and AoD issues, conditions, and services.
Requirements
- A Blue Card for working with children ('No Card No Start' policy applies)
- National police check
- Current drivers' license.
- IDENTIFIED POSITION - To perform this role it is essential that the person who holds the position be an Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person. It is therefore a genuine occupational requirement under section 25 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1991 that applicants are Australian Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. A Confirmation of Aboriginality will need to be provided.
