As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Credit Manager to join our team.
The Role
The Credit Manager plays a critical role in supporting Charter Private's lending operations. This position is responsible for end-to-end credit assessment and loan processing, ensuring all applications meet lender and regulatory requirements.
Key duties and responsibilities include:
- Assessing residential and commercial loan applications for credit suitability and compliance
- Reviewing client financial documentation including payslips, tax returns, bank statements, and liabilities
- Conducting Best Interest Duty (BID) assessments in line with NCCP obligations
- Preparing and submitting loan applications through platforms including Infynity and Apply Online (AOL)
- Liaising with lenders, brokers, and clients to gather information and progress applications
- Monitoring pipelines and tracking loan progress through to settlement
- Reviewing and auditing loan files for compliance and documentation completeness
- Logging and managing client interactions via Salesforce and Dialpad
- Supporting the preparation of compliance audit reports and internal quality reviews
- Collaborating with team members to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and KPI targets
What We Are Looking For
The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in credit management, loan processing, or mortgage broking operations
- Sound knowledge of Australian lending standards, NCCP compliance, and responsible lending obligations
- Experience working with mortgage broking platforms such as Infynity, Apply Online (AOL), or similar
- Familiarity with CRM tools such as Salesforce and communication platforms such as Dialpad
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy in credit assessment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to manage multiple applications and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- A team-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering quality client outcomes
- Relevant qualifications in finance, accounting, business, or a related field (desirable)
- Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking (desirable)
Remuneration
$75,000 – $90,000 per annum + Superannuation, depending on experience and qualifications.
This is a full-time, permanent position. The role is based remotely and involves working with our Australian operations team.
Pay: $75,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
