Kikanbo Ramen operates as a full-service Japanese cuisine restaurant, offering guests a complete dine-in experience. All dishes are freshly prepared on-site by our kitchen team, alongside a selection of entrées, beverages, and alcoholic drinks.
About the role:
We’re looking for a full‑time cook to join our kitchen team and help us deliver great food that supports the overall dining experience of our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
l Food Preparation: Inspect food quality and ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and ready for preparation and service.
l Kitchen Equipment: Ensure kitchen equipment is correctly set up, maintained, and operating at appropriate temperatures.
l Cooking & Seasoning: Prepare, cook, and season menu items in accordance with recipes and quality standards, including meals for customers with specific dietary requirements.
l Plating: Portion, plate, and present cooked dishes to ensure consistency, quality, and visual appeal before service.
l Food Storage: Store ingredients and prepared food items safely, ensuring correct temperature control and compliance with food safety regulations.
l Training Assistance: Assist in training and supporting new kitchen staff to ensure adherence to kitchen procedures and quality standards.
l Menu Assistance: Contribute ideas for menu planning, and recipe improvements.
Skills & Experiences Requirements:
l At least 1 year cook experience in commercial kitchen.
l Hold a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery with a minimum of two years of on‑the‑job training, or a Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery; alternatively, demonstrate at least three years of relevant industry experience.
l Comfortable working in a fast-paced team environment.
l Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
l Works comfortably as part of a team and is flexible with shift times.
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
