Support community safety and amenity by helping deliver responsive administration across a broad range of regulatory services as a member of our Prosecutions and Review Team.
About the role:
As an Administration Officer, you'll play an important role in supporting the City Safety & Compliance department through high-quality administration, customer service and records management. You'll help ensure enquiries, requests, appeals and prosecution support tasks are managed accurately and within required timeframes, contributing to Council's statutory responsibilities across a range of compliance functions. The role provides exposure to varied work connected to functions such as local laws, animal management, fire prevention, permits and other regulatory services, giving you the opportunity to support outcomes that matter to the community every day. Working closely with internal teams, external stakeholders and members of the public, you'll provide reliable day-to-day support while contributing to continuous improvement in administrative systems and service delivery.
You will:
- Provide high-quality administrative support and customer service across the department, responding to enquiries, requests and correspondence in a timely and professional manner.

Maintain accurate records, registers and databases that support statutory compliance, reporting requirements and effective departmental operations.

Process and support infringement appeals and prosecution administration, ensuring documentation, data entry and case records are handled accurately and within required timeframes.

Liaise with internal staff, external agencies and members of the public to support efficient coordination of compliance-related matters and clear communication of outcomes.

Contribute to the improvement of administrative processes, systems and templates to enhance consistency, efficiency and service quality across the team.
About you:
You're a proactive and detail-focused administrator who takes pride in delivering accurate work and excellent customer service. You work well in a busy environment, manage competing priorities effectively and build positive working relationships with colleagues and customers alike.

Demonstrated experience in an administrative and/or customer service role, preferably within a compliance, regulatory or local government environment.

Strong administrative and organisational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records, manage databases and produce clear, professional correspondence.

Well-developed customer service and communication skills, with the ability to respond professionally to a range of internal and external enquiries.

Good attention to detail, sound computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office and electronic records or data management systems.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to continuous improvement in administrative processes and service delivery.
