Full job description
The Last Slice is looking for an experienced, reliable and hands-on Cafe Manager to take charge of our weekend operations at our Sydney Olympic Park location.
We're a busy cafe serving halal-certified food and Toby's Estate coffee, and we're looking for someone who can confidently lead the team, maintain excellent customer service and make sure the cafe runs smoothly during our busiest days.
Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day weekend cafe operations
- Leading and supporting the cafe team
- Ensuring excellent customer service
- Supervising staff and delegating tasks
- Managing customer enquiries and resolving issues
- Monitoring stock and ensuring products are available
- Maintaining food, cleanliness and service standards
- Ensuring orders are prepared accurately and efficiently
- Opening and/or closing the cafe as required
- Communicating with management about staff, stock and operational matters
- Being hands-on and stepping in wherever the team needs support
Requirements
- Previous experience in cafe, hospitality or restaurant management
- Confident leading a team in a busy environment
- Reliable, organised and proactive
- Strong communication and people skills
- Customer-focused and professional
- Able to work independently and make decisions
- Calm under pressure
- Available every weekend
- Willing to be hands-on rather than simply supervising
- Must live within 10km of Sydney Olympic Park
