Are you passionate about delivering accurate, high‑quality billing services and providing exceptional customer support?
Sitting within Council’s Water Billing Team, this role supports accurate water consumption and property billing services in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. You will play a key role in maintaining critical property and billing data, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely service delivery while supporting both internal teams and the community. Your responsibilities will include:
- Accurately maintaining property, rating and water meter information, with a strong focus on detail and data quality.
- Providing responsive customer service to internal teams, external customers, ratepayers and property owners.
- Processing billing‑related tasks such as property updates, search requests, water consumption records and financial transactions.
- Supporting the Integrated Customer Contact Centre by assisting with rates and water enquiries.
- Managing workflows, meeting deadlines and proactively resolving gaps or issues.
- Contributing to continuous improvement by updating work instructions and sharing knowledge across the team.
Skills and experience:
- Computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a commitment to data accuracy.
- Well developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Effective time management skills and confidence working under pressure in a high‑volume environment.
- Analytical and problem‑solving ability to investigate issues and identify solutions.
- Clear written communication skills to prepare accurate records and customer correspondence.
