We are looking for an experienced chef to work with our kitchen team:
Key Responsibilities
- Planning and developing menus in consultation with management.
- Preparing, cooking, and presenting a variety of high-quality dishes.
- Supervising food preparation and ensuring consistency in food quality.
- Monitoring food quality, portion control, and presentation standards.
- Ordering, receiving, and managing stock and kitchen supplies.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Training and supervising kitchen staff where required.
- Managing food costs and minimising wastage.
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate IV, Diploma, or equivalent) is preffered.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience as a Chef Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen operations.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles.
