The Meat & Wine Co is growing, with an exciting new restaurant opening on Collins Street in 2026 and expansion opportunities across our Southbank venue.
We're now looking for experienced Sous Chefs to join our leadership teams and help deliver the premium dining experience The Meat & Wine Co is known for.
Working closely with the Head Chef, this is a hands-on leadership role where you'll assist in overseeing kitchen operations, lead and develop the team, and maintain the high standards of quality, consistency and service our brand is recognised for.

What we're looking for
- Previous experience in a Kitchen Leadership role within a premium, high-volume venue
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to train, mentor and motivate a team
- Sound understanding of kitchen operations, labour management and stock control
- Ability to maintain high food quality and consistency during busy service periods
- Strong understanding of food safety, compliance and WHS standards
- Passion for hospitality, quality produce and team culture
- Availability across a 7-day rotating roster
