Raya is looking for an energetic, detail-oriented Barista to join our front-of-house team. This is a hands-on, all-around role — you'll be behind the espresso machine, on the floor serving guests, and keeping the space spotless, often all in the same shift. What You'll Do
- Prepare and serve espresso-based drinks, coffee, and other beverages to a high standard, consistently and quickly
- Greet and serve guests at tables and the counter, taking orders and ensuring a great customer experience
- Work as part of the front-of-house team — assist with seating, bussing, and general service as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation, dining area, and equipment at all times
- Restock supplies and manage inventory during service
- Handle cash/POS transactions accurately
- Keep up with a fast pace during rushes while maintaining quality and friendliness
- Follow all food safety and cleanliness standards
What We're Looking For
- Prior barista or café experience preferred (not always required — great attitude matters most)
- Comfortable working as a server/FOH in addition to making drinks
- Strong multitasker who stays calm and organized during busy rushes
- A genuine passion for cleanliness and maintaining a great-looking space
- Friendly, guest-first attitude with strong communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and a team player
- Able to stand for extended periods and move quickly during service
