About the role
Are you looking to join an exciting hospitality group with career growth opportunities? Phoenix Hospitality Group is seeking experienced Kitchen Stewards/Public Area Cleaner to join their dynamic team. This casual role will see you working in aged care centres, supporting the culinary team and residential cleaning team, ensuring all areas run smoothly. Potential for a permanent position to the right candidate.
Locations vary between Brisbane and Redcliffe.
What you'll be doing
- Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen by washing, drying and storing all kitchen equipment, utensils and crockery
- Assisting the kitchen team with food preparation tasks as required
- Restocking kitchen supplies and ingredients
- Adhering to all food safety and hygiene standards
- Providing excellent customer service to all kitchen staff
- Undertaking any other duties as required to support the smooth running of the kitchen
- Maintaining cleaning for residential areas
- assisting the housekeeping team
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward/Cleaner or similar role
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
- Be able to manage for long period on your feet
- Reliable
