Role Overview
The Experience Associate Director supports the Experience Director in the delivery of services across WPP Media agencies (Mindshare, Neo Media, EssenceMediacom, Wavemaker). This includes hands-on management of SEO, GEO, analytics and reporting workstreams, ensuring quality execution and day-to-day client satisfaction.
This role acts as a key operational lead within the Experience team, translating strategy into delivery, managing specialist team members, and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships. The Associate Experience Director plays a critical role in upholding delivery standards, supporting commercial outcomes, and contributing to the growth of Experience services across WPP Media Australia.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage and develop a team of Experience specialists (e.g. Managers, Executives, Coordinators), providing regular coaching, feedback, and performance support.
- Support the Experience Director in managing resourcing and utilisation across client teams, ensuring alignment with contracts and project scopes.
- Contribute to training initiatives and development plans that build craft capability within the team.
- Assist with recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of new team members as required.
- Foster a collaborative, supportive, and high-performance team culture where individuals are empowered to grow.
- Support the Experience Director in monitoring project profitability and tracking revenue across Experience client accounts.
- Contribute to new business efforts by supporting pitch responses, preparing scoping documents, and assisting with delivery planning.
- Ensure all invoicing, project scopes, and third-party costs within your remit are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability across day-to-day client delivery.
- Flag growth opportunities within existing client portfolios and contribute to proposals for expanded services.
- Drive consistent, high-quality delivery of Experience products and services through strong process adherence, documentation, and quality control.
- Maintain and improve operational workflows, templates, and delivery documentation to support scalability.
- Represent the Experience team positively across WPP Media agencies, contributing to best-practice sharing and collaboration.
- Stay current with platform and technology partner developments to ensure the team leverages the latest tools and insights.
- Support the Experience Director in developing and refining Experience product solutions that deliver client value and align with the broader Experience vision.
- Maintain and update delivery frameworks, templates, and documentation to ensure workstreams are scalable and consistent.
- Contribute to reporting frameworks that measure performance, demonstrate impact, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with craft leads and strategy teams to integrate Experience solutions into WPP Media’s Good Growth Operating System and planning processes.
- Serve as a day-to-day client lead for assigned accounts, building trusted relationships with a strong understanding of their business and category.
- Ensure all deliverables align with client KPIs and proactively manage risks or issues that could impact performance.
- Contribute to client strategy development that strengthens Experience’s contribution to business and marketing outcomes.
- Drive continuous improvement in client satisfaction, using Vantage or equivalent feedback metrics as key performance indicators.
- Support the delivery of innovation and growth projects in collaboration with Experience leads and other craft teams.
- Assist in creating opportunities for clients to engage through training, WPP Media events, and thought leadership sessions.
Pay: $98,000.00 – $110,000.00 per year
Work Location: In person
