The opportunity for you:
We’re seeking an experienced People & Culture Business Partner to join our People Culture team and help shape the employee experience across the business. In this role, you will partner with leaders and teams to deliver pragmatic people solutions that support GBST’s strategic priorities and enable a high-performing, inclusive culture. You will have the opportunity to influence talent practices across multiple functions and contribute to continuous improvement of our people processes. You will also contribute to the broader P&C team through project support and cyclical P&C activities.
You’ll be joining a collaborative, diverse team in an Australian-based company and working with high-performing colleagues across Australia and globally. Reporting to the Head of People & Culture, this role is ideal for an HR professional looking to develop their business partnering capability while gaining exposure to a range of strategic, tactical operational P&C initiatives.

What you will do:
Act as a trusted advisor to leaders, partnering on workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and change initiatives
Manage employee relations matters, investigations, and disciplinary processes with fairness, confidentiality and sound judgement
Coach managers on performance conversations, goal setting, development plans and retention strategies
Support talent acquisition by partnering with hiring managers on role design, selection processes and onboarding
Partner with People & Culture colleagues to implement people programs, policies and People & Culture initiatives
Analyse people data and provide insights to leaders to inform decision-making and measure the impact of initiatives
Support learning, capability building and career development activities across the business
Help drive initiatives that promote diversity, inclusion and psychological safety
You will be someone with:
3+ years demonstrable People & Culture generalist experience, including previous experience working as a Business Partner or HR Advisor
Client focused with demonstrated experience building and maintaining strong, meaningful relationships with key stakeholders
Communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, solutions-focused approach
Sound judgment and experience managing people related issues with stakeholders at all levels
Key understanding of employment law
Technologically savvy and preparedness to learn relevant systems
Team oriented
Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver high quality outcomes in a fast-paced environment
Experience using HRIS systems and comfort working with people analytics and reporting
Relevant tertiary qualifications in human resources, business or a related field (desirable)
You will ideally have these skills too:
Experience supporting organisational change and restructures
Familiarity with modern performance frameworks and continuous feedback cultures
Experience designing or delivering learning and development programs
Certifications in HR, coaching or mediation (desirable)
