Burke Shire Council is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Administration Officer to join our Corporate Services team. This is a varied role where you'll provide exceptional customer service, support Council's records management functions and contribute to the efficient delivery of administrative services across the organisation.
About the Role
Reporting to the Corporate Services and Governance Manager, you'll be the first point of contact for Council's customers while providing administrative support that keeps Council operating efficiently. From assisting community members at reception to managing Council records and supporting day-to-day administration.
Key Responsibilities

Providing professional and friendly reception and customer service.
- Processing receipting, banking and petty cash transactions.
- Preparing correspondence, reports and other administrative documentation.
- Maintaining registers, databases and filing systems.
- Assisting with library and general reception duties when required.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:

Has excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Can maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Is confident using Microsoft Office and learning new software systems.
- Is proactive, reliable and eager to learn new skills.

- Level 2–3 under the Burke Shire Council Certified Agreement ($66,522 - $70,942 p.a.), plus applicable allowances and 12.5% employer superannuation.
- Starting salary negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
