About the Opportunity:
We are seeking expressions of interest from Mechanical CAD Designers across Junior, Mid-Level, and Senior levels. The successful candidates will support the design and development of projects across the automotive, rail, defence, and infrastructure sectors.
This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative and technically challenging projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop high-quality mechanical design solutions using Siemens NX (Unigraphics NX).
Candidates must currently be working in Melbourne, Australia, and possess practical experience in mechanical design and product development within one or more of the target industries.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Junior Mechanical Designer (1–3 Years)

Experience creating 3D models and engineering drawings using Siemens NX.

Understanding of engineering drawing standards and manufacturing processes.

Exposure to mechanical design projects within automotive, rail, defence, infrastructure, or related industries.

Strong willingness to learn and develop technical capabilities.
Mechanical Designer (4–7 Years)

Proven experience delivering mechanical design projects using Siemens NX.

Ability to independently manage component and subsystem design activities.

Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams and stakeholders.

Strong understanding of product development and engineering change processes.
Senior Mechanical Designer (8+ Years)

Extensive experience leading mechanical design and development projects.

Ability to provide technical leadership and mentoring.

Experience managing complex assemblies, multidisciplinary interfaces, and stakeholder engagement.

Demonstrated success delivering projects from concept through production or implementation.
