About the Role:
As a Work and Study Specialist, you'll empower young people aged 12–25 to achieve their employment and education goals through the evidence-based Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model. Working as part of the headspace team, you'll provide tailored, one-on-one support with a manageable caseload, enabling you to build meaningful relationships and deliver holistic, goal-focused care. You'll engage with local employers, education providers and community organisations to create pathways to work and study, using assertive outreach and a strengths-based approach to help young people build confidence, overcome barriers and achieve lasting vocational outcomes.
Demonstrated experience working within a fast-paced environment;
A minimum of 3 years’ experience in employment services, vocational rehabilitation, career development or a related field.
Experience in working with youth, families, agencies and communities.
Experience providing career-planning advice to young people.
An understanding of the Individual Placement and Support model
Experience working with people experiencing mental ill-health
Qualification and Other Requirements:
Knowledge and experience in using the Microsoft suite of software and databases
An appropriate qualification in a relevant field is desirable but not essential
Eligible for membership to the Career Development Association of Australia (CDAA) desirable but not essential
Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children's Check (WWCC)
Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
Employment is subject to compliance with Sonder’s Immunisation Policy. Applicants must hold, or be willing to obtain, all vaccinations and immunisations required for the role.
