This position is based at Pioneer Mill in North Queensland's Burdekin region, known for its stunning landscapes, rich agricultural heritage, and a vibrant community. Your Role in Action
- Lead and Support Your Team: Guide and support the site EIC and operations teams, ensuring they effectively execute their responsibilities.
- Drive Maintenance and Capital Strategies: Collaborate with a diverse team to develop and implement effective maintenance and capital plans.
- Monitor Performance and Drive Improvement: Oversee team performance, providing guidance to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Plan and Schedule Work: Develop and coordinate the weekly schedule while contributing to long-term program planning.
- Ensure Resource Readiness: Organise the necessary resources for maintenance and capital works, including breakdowns and shutdowns.
- Problem-Solve in the Field: Conduct in-field fault finding and rectification to maintain operational reliability.
- Champion Safety and Quality: Monitor and manage team compliance with safety and quality standards.
Your Winning Combination
We're seeking a motivated leader with strong communication, negotiation, and influencing skills across all levels. You'll have a proven ability to engage and inspire teams, driving them toward shared goals and performance targets. A trade qualification in an Electrical discipline is essential, along with hands-on leadership experience in the sugar industry or a similar heavy industrial environment. Additional tertiary qualifications will be highly regarded.
