We are looking for a visionary Head Coach (Store Manager) to take the reins of our highly anticipated Castle Hill store opening. Opening a new store is a massive opportunity to build your space and your squad from the ground up. This is not just about running a retail floor. It is about driving the standard for how our brand connects with a brand-new market.
To make sure you are set up for success, we are bringing our Head Coach on board this July, three months ahead of our mid-October grand opening. This gives you full brand immersion, a comprehensive induction at our HQ, and the runway to start preheating the local community.
Working closely alongside our retail leadership team, this role is responsible for driving the pre-opening strategy, growing local community connections, recruiting your team, and launching with maximum impact. SO, WHAT'S INVOLVED?
1. The Pre-Opening Runway (July to October)
Heating up the Community: Hit the ground running to build local hype. Work with our Community Marketing Manager to execute a localised pre-opening event tour, popping in to connect with local fitness partners, athletes, and mavens who align with our mission.
Hiring Your Squad: Work alongside our Retail Leadership team to facilitate dynamic group interviews, hand-selecting a world-class team of Educators who live and breathe the brand.
2. Create a Community
The Ultimate Storyteller: Act as the ultimate brand ambassador, bringing the LSKD history, values, and playbook to life inside our brand-new Castle Hill space.
Strategic Events & Planning: Build a fun, strategic quarterly community plan, organising in-store events and external activations at local gyms to drive store traffic and brand advocacy.
Partnerships & Sweats: Build authentic relationships with values-aligned partners, galvanising your team to step outside the store and join sweat sessions at local studios.
3. Develop a Team of Leaders
Build the Pipeline: Induct, coach, and retain your newly hired team. Your store will be a breeding ground for internal talent and future LSKD leaders.
The 1% Feedback Loop: Foster a supportive, high-accountability environment through daily game plans, generous two-way feedback, and structured quarterly reviews.
Fuel Growth: Leverage the LSKD Library and training tools to align your team’s personal, fitness, and career goals with tangible development opportunities.
4. Operational Excellence
Store VM Setup: Take ownership of the ongoing stock layout and action weekly Visual Merchandising plans to maintain premium standards and maximise opportunities from day one.
Inventory & Back of House Integrity: Manage the influx of opening inventory, ensuring total stock accuracy and back-of-house organisation so every single item has an intentional home.
Roster & Financial Management: Optimise roster engineering to align with launch traffic flows while hitting employee cost percentage targets. Ensure timesheets are accurate, execute cash handling with precision, and investigate any discrepancies immediately.
5. Product Obsessed
The Ultimate Product Expert: Get to know our entire range inside out and lead by example, sharing your passion for our fits and styles while upholding the wider team to authentically educate our community.
Lifecycle Ownership: Manage the total lifecycle of product in store, from the very first opening boxes to community fulfilment, striving daily to hit our key benchmarks.
6. Financial Smarts
P&L & Wage Management: Understand how to thoroughly analyse store P&L statements and manage employee wages and hours to make smart business decisions from week one.
KPI Data Analysis: Deeply understand store KPIs, continuously driving core performance metrics to meet and exceed launch benchmarks.
Commercial Reflection: Deliver sharp weekly reflections and recaps on business performance, identifying strengths and opportunities to create tangible actions to be 1% better everyday.
Skills and Experiences:

Premium Retail Leadership: A strong background in retail or business leadership, including 3 to 5 years of experience in similar management roles covering operations, people development, and high-volume environments.
