What you will be doing:
The Safety Systems Division provides an oversight across areas that have an impact on safety, risk and compliance and delivers specialist safety services and advice to operational teams. This Division play an important role in enabling the business to effectively manage risk and deliver improved safety outcomes.
As Manager Airworthiness Quality, you will lead the delivery of assurance activities across Part 145 and Part 42 environments, ensuring quality systems, audits, authorisations and corrective actions are effectively managed.
You will be responsible for identifying trends and systemic issues, using quality data and audit insights to drive meaningful improvement across the organisation.
Reporting directly to the Head of Assurance, you will:
- Lead the Part 145,Part 42 and Part 147 internal audit programs, ensuring audits meet approved standards and deliver consistent, high-quality assurance
- Maintain audit tools, review reports and ensure findings are clearly communicated
- Identify causal factors, human factors, recurring findings and systemic risks.
- Oversee corrective and preventative actions through to completion and verification
- Analyse quality data and trends to drive continuous improvement and inform assurance planning
- Lead, coach and develop the Quality Audit team, ensuring audits are delivered effectively by appropriately trained personnel
- Provide clear and timely reporting on audit outcomes, actions and systemic issues
- Manage key quality governance activities, including AMO exposition amendments, supplier approvals, personnel authorisations and capability assessments
- Coordinate regulatory submissions and provide technical quality advice to the business
- Manage the company expositions and controlled documents for Engineering and Maintenance
You'll be great in this role if you have:
- Experience as a CASA Part 145 Form 004 holder
- Significant auditing experience within an engineering or maintenance environment
- Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent formal audit training
- Strong communication skills, including strong report writing and the ability to present confidently in management forums
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret audit data and identify trends
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to build a productive, high-performing team
- Strong knowledge of aviation Safety Management Systems and assurance frameworks.
- A clear understanding of Part 66 aircraft maintenance licence and authorisation criteria
- IOSA audit experience and knowledge would be highly desirable
