Join our friendly and professional team as a Delivery Driver / Automotive Retail Assistant. With years of experience in the automotive parts industry, we pride ourselves on delivering excellent service and value to our customers. This role blends customer deliveries, retail service,and warehouse support in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. A delivery vehicle will be supplied during business hours.
We stock a wide range of trusted automotive brands such as Bendix, Brembo, Ryco, NGK, Penrite, and Nulon—ideal for candidates with an interest in the automotive industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivery & Warehouse Duties:
- Deliver customer orders promptly and safely based on daily schedules using a company-supplied delivery vehicle (for use during business hours only)
- Pick and prepare customer orders using the order sheet
- Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles
- Safely handle and move heavy automotive parts (e.g. Disc Rotors)
- Follow all safety protocols and road regulations
- Complete delivery documentation and comply with all procedures
- Receive and check incoming stock deliveries
- Assist with inventory management and stocktakes
- Support general warehouse duties, including stock storage and order picking
Retail & Customer Service Duties:
- Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Provide product knowledge and advice on automotive parts and accessories
- Support the sales process by preparing quotes and assisting with customer enquiries
- Merchandise products in-store based on customer or manager requests
- Maintain clean, organised, and well-stocked retail displays
- Relay customer feedback to management and ensure high service standards
- Stay up-to-date with new products, promotions, and industry trends
Requirements:
- Valid driver’s licence (manual is a plus but not required)
- At least 1 year of experience in the automotive industry (preferred but not necessary)
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Basic computer skills/literacy
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy items
- High attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-first mindset
- Interest in automotive industry is a plus
Roster & Working Hours:
- Shifts run from 8:00am to 4:00pm, with a meal break provided
- Flexibility may be required to cover additional shifts during busy periods or staff absences
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $31.25 per hour
