At Stone Art Australia, we pride ourselves on providing the safest working environment within the stone industry, using the latest in stone cutting machinery. Supplying stone creations to some of Melbourne's most reputable builders, we are growing quickly and currently seeking a stonemason to join our Stone Art team.
Tasks and responsibilities
- Selecting & preparing stone
- Cutting, shaping, polishing different types of stone
- Edge finishing with a variety of profiles
- Operate CNC-guided stone cutting machinery and other stone processing equipment to cut, shape and finish stone accurately.
- Following instructions and reading measurements
- Inspecting finished stone pieces for accuracy, quality of finish and compliance with job requirements
- Maintain a safe work environment
The successful applicant will have.
- Knowledge of the stone industry
- Experience with CNC and other stone cutting machines
- Experience with hand / power tools to smooth, polish and bevel stone surfaces
- An ability to take measurements and check plan requirements
About You.
- Must have Cert III in Stonemasonry
- Able to work independently and within a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Strong communication skills
- Able to read and interpret plans and drawings
- Able to multi-task and manage time effectively

This is a full-time role from Monday to Friday with some over-time available during the week and on the weekend.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
