We are seeking applications from experienced disability support workers as well as those wishing to gain entry into the support worker field, who are willing to obtain the required certifications and clearances.
We are looking for new people to join our team to support all aspects of in home and community care for a teenage NDIS participant with high needs, living in his home in Mackay.
Male workers preferred. Various shifts available.
To be successful in this role you will possess the following attributes: compassionate and caring disposition, an appreciation of the complex and individual nature of working within a family-oriented environment, willing to learn new ways to work with individuals, creative outside the box thinker, good at problem solving, team player, excellent communication skills, experience in dealing with behaviors of concern highly desirable.
Roles and duties may include but not be limited to supporting the clients with personal care, preparing meals, shopping, taking the client to his community access and other activities, as well as housekeeping.
Successful candidates will need to provide the following:
100 points ID.
NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate.
NDIS Worker Screening Check.
First Aid & CPR Certificate.
Salary is paid in alignment with the SCHADS Award Level 2.3 + $1 or above.
Penalty rates apply as well.
