About the role
We are seeking a skilled Chef to prepare delicious meals from our menu. You are expected to ensure quality customer service, maintain a safe working environment and prepare dishes that will delight our guests with its taste and timely delivery.
Role Purpose
The purpose of the role is to manage the kitchen day-to-day operations and ensure that all aspects are running smoothly and efficiently. The role is responsible for menu planning, purchasing and inventory control, food preparation, and ensuring adherence to food safety and sanitation standards. You will also lead the kitchen staff in providing excellent customer service and creating an enjoyable dining experience for guests. This position requires excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Cook Duties
- Manage daily operations in the kitchen
- Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures
- Ensure health and safety standards are met
- Train, evaluate and manage kitchen staff
- Monitor and maintain kitchen inventory and supplies
- Maintain records of food costs and usage
- Ensure quality of food and portion control
- Daily specials development
Skills
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to create menus and menus costing
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices
Cook Requirements
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
