Position Purpose
We are seeking an organized, proactive, and physically fit Warehouse Manager to take full ownership of our warehouse operations. In this role, you will be the core link between our suppliers, our in-house production (embroidery and heat-press) teams, and our customers. You will oversee all inventory control, incoming freight, layout optimization, and outgoing orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery across the Top End.
Key Responsibilities
- Inventory & Stock Control: * Manage the end-to-end receipt of goods, ensuring all incoming stock matches purchase orders and meets quality standards.
- Maintain a highly organized inventory tracking system to minimize stock variances.
- Lead regular cycle counts and annual stocktakes.
- Production Integration:
- Efficiently organize and allocate raw stock to the in-house embroidery and alteration teams to maintain a smooth production workflow.
- Collaborate daily with sales and production staff to prioritize high-volume corporate or urgent client orders.
- Dispatch & Logistics:
- Oversee the picking, packing, and dispatch of client orders with an uncompromising eye for accuracy.
- Coordinate local couriers, regional freight partners, and Click & Collect orders for local Darwin businesses.
- Warehouse Safety & Standards:
- Ensure the warehouse operates safely and adheres to all Northern Territory WHS regulations.
- Optimize warehouse layout for maximum space utilization and safe material handling.
- Keep the facility clean, orderly, and professional.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: Proven experience (3+ years) in warehouse management, inventory control, or a senior storeperson role. Experience handling apparel or textiles is a major plus.
- Tech Skills: Proficiency with inventory management systems in Retail Express would be an advantage and standard computing tools (Microsoft Excel, emails).
- Licenses: An Australian Driver’s License is required.
- Attributes: High attention to detail (matching specific garment sizes and color codes), exceptional time-management skills, and a practical problem-solving attitude.
- Fitness: Ability to handle the physical demands of loading/unloading freight and moving stock comfortably within the tropical Top End climate.
