About the Role:
As a Wall and Floor Tiler, you will report to the Construction Manager. We are looking for an experienced and qualified candidate. This is a Full time role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and interpret building plans, drawings and specifications, and accurately measure, mark out and set up work areas before work begins.
- Prepare wall and floor substrates by stripping away old grout, adhesive and other unsuitable materials, rectifying surface defects, and ensuring all surfaces are clean, sound and level ready for tile installation.
- Apply waterproofing membranes and surface treatments where required.
- Mix and spread adhesives, cement-based mortars and screeds onto prepared surfaces using the correct methods and techniques.
- Lay and position tiles with precision, maintaining correct alignment, uniform spacing and a level finish.
- Cut, shape and fit ceramic, porcelain, terrazzo, glass mosaic and natural stone tiles using hand and power tools, working neatly around edges, corners, fixtures, fittings and pipework.
- Grout tile joints, then clean and polish completed surfaces to achieve the required finish.
- Fit tile strips and trim sections to form decorative patterns and produce clean, professional edge detailing.
- Check finished work against plans, quality expectations and applicable building codes to confirm compliance.
- Keep the work site clean, safe and well organised at all times.
- Communicate and coordinate effectively with site supervisors, project managers and other trades on site.
HEALTH AND SAFETY:
- Comply with all requirements of the Work Health and Safety Legislation.
- Support a positive health and safety culture.
QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling (or equivalent), or at least 3 years' full time relevant experience in lieu of the qualification.
- At least One years' full time relevant experience, or 3 years' full time relevant experience if no relevant qualification is held.
- Sound knowledge of tiling materials, adhesives, waterproofing systems and surface preparation techniques.
- Ability to read and work from plans, drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering a high-quality finish.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team on active construction sites.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year (plus Superannuation)
