About Aero Refuellers:
Aero Refuellers, a division of K & S Freighters, is a leader in the Australian aviation fuels reseller market. The business manages 30 airport fuel sites and delivers bulk fuels across the country. A key component of our work is the support of firefighting aircraft deployed during the summer months across Australia.
The Opportunity:
If you’re an experienced HC truck driver who’s semi-retired or simply looking for seasonal work that makes a difference in your community, then this could be the opportunity for you!
When bushfires threaten communities, you’ll be the link that keeps firefighting aircraft fuelled and ready to protect lives and property.
You’ll be transporting aviation fuel from terminals to various fuel tankers out in the field supplying firefighting aircraft throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and Tasmania. You’ll be covering long distances at times, going where you’re needed to ensure critical aerial firefighting fleets are fuelled and mission ready during the Australian bushfire season.
You will:
- Transport aviation fuel from terminals to refuelling tankers and this role does require travel away from home
- Maintain records of stock levels and order requirements when needed.
- Conduct regular checks on your truck ensuring it is clean and ready to operate.
- Record all fuel receipts and delivery paperwork accurately and forward to the administration team for processing.
- Perform fuel quality control checks on the fuel in your truck and complete all required documentation in support.
What you’ll bring:
You’ll be an experienced and reliable driver who knows how to work independently in a highly trusted role with minimal supervision.
You will have:
Current and valid HC or MC driver’s license
DG license or willing to obtain
Current ASIC or ability to obtain
Clean driving history
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and travel away when required
