We are currently seeking a passionate and motivated Speech Pathologist to join our growing team. We welcome applications from clinicians interested in Contract (ABN), Casual, or Part-Time employment.
About the Role
As a Speech Pathologist, you will provide high-quality assessment, intervention, and ongoing therapy services to NDIS participants across a variety of age groups and disability types. You will work collaboratively with participants, families, carers, support coordinators, and other allied health professionals to deliver evidence-based, goal-focused therapy.
This role offers flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to manage your own caseload while making a meaningful difference in the lives of people with disability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive speech, language, communication, voice, fluency, literacy, and swallowing assessments.
- Develop and implement individualised therapy plans aligned with participants' NDIS goals.
- Deliver evidence-based therapy services to children and adults.
- Complete Functional Capacity Assessments and provide recommendations where appropriate.
- Prepare high-quality NDIS reports, progress reports, review reports, and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with participants, families, carers, support coordinators, schools, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Maintain accurate clinical records and documentation in accordance with NDIS Practice Standards.
- Provide education, support, and training to participants, families, carers, and support workers.
- Participate in professional development and team meetings.
- Deliver services in accordance with the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements and Speech Pathology Australia professional standards.
Essential Requirements
- Bachelor or Master's Degree in Speech Pathology.
- Eligible for membership with Speech Pathology Australia.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Current Working with Children Check (where applicable).
- Current National Police Check.
- Current Australian Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle.
- Professional Indemnity and Public Liability Insurance (for contractors).
- Excellent communication, clinical reasoning, and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
